Trying to build the outhouse...

We cleared the area, laid out the lanscaping fabric for weed control and paced off the outhouse hole. We figured about 7 feet wide by 3 feet wide and 8 feet deep. We went to work digging soil. 8 inches down our shovels stopped working. PERMAFROST... Oh no... Well, crap, literally, what do we do now?? No crapper in sight for the near future for us! So we stopped, gathered up a large pile of trash wood we'd gathered from around the property and lit a fire in the hole. We burned that fire all day long, hoping to warm up the ground and melt the permafrost. We've been at it for a week now, and have got the hole dug about 2 feet deep. Talk about a shitty situation! So now we sing the outhouse blues as we continue on with the digging of the hole that's looking more and more like a grave every day...
